About Morgan
Morgan Brown is an Oklahoma based artist and educator who specializes in watercolor and mixed media work. Having worked as a secondary art educator since 2011 in both Arizona and Oklahoma, Morgan’s passion is bringing art to every community and fostering its growth in the hearts and minds of the next generation. Currently, Morgan teaches 7th and 8th grade art and global studies at a middle school in Tulsa, Oklahoma. When not in the classroom, Morgan can be found in her backyard studio accompanied by any number of canine companions. Her lifelong love of animals, fostered by growing up in what can only be called a domestic menagerie, led to her creating a commission-based pet portrait business early in her career. While Morgan absolutely loves to bring joy to families the world over by painting their four legged friends, her real passion lies in exploring watercolor landscapes, both real and imagined, based on her extensive travels. As a former dancer, Morgan has always been fascinated with the human body in motion and incorporates the figure into much of her work.
